Technology challenge

On the first and second day of term the teachers set us a challenge. The first one was the ballon powered car challenge. It was a bit hard but not to hard. Here are some photos of it.

Back to school: What I did in the holidays

In the holidays I went skiing a lot. We went skiing on Mt Ruapahu on the Turoa side. We had a lot of fun.

Also my brother had his national cycling champs, it was for 3 days. It was in Manawatu. There were people from Auckland, Christchurch and everywhere around NZ

Also, My brother got new draws, it came in a MASSIVE box. I made a hut in it and then that night me and my brother slept in it with a blow-up mattress and sleeping bags and lots of lights. It was very fun.

My holiday was excellent!!

The Mind Lab

QYesterday we went to the Mind Lab in Petone which is in Wellington. We had been fundraising to go to the mind lab. It had 3D printing, stop motion animation , building cars and lots of robots and technology.

Business

This term we are learning about Business. We had to create our own product for GRi11 industries to  to raise money to go on a trip to Wellington so we can go to the amazing mindlab! I am the CEO of my Business, we are selling bookshelfs here is a link to our blog:

Narrative coin writing

Once upon a time there was a man called Stuart. Stuart was very stupid. He lived in stupidville where stupid people live like him. One day he went on a walk around stupidville he went past the stupidmarket. Once he had gone around the corner he saw a truck, the truck was about to crash into Stuart but he had his lucky coin in his pocket so luckly the truck pulled the brakes just before it hit little Stuart! He keeps on walking. Stuart dropped his lucky coin he did not know, he kept on walking but did not notice that he dropped the coin. Stuart walked around two corners he was on the way back home (he was doing a loop). Stuart keeps walking there's some dog poo Stuart did not see it and he stepped in it he was very grumpy. He new he did not have is lucky coin! Stuart walks back the way he came. Stuart still can't find it and he is looking EVERYWHERE. He stinks because he stepped in the dog poo! Stuart stops at a puddle, He sees his sad reflection and He also sees a sparkling coin glimmering at him and surprisingly it's his coin! Stuart was VERY happy!!! He picked it up and this time he was smart and held so if he dropped he would feel it drop!!He walks back home! And that's the story until part 2!!!

Yesterday day we had a fun day we played games and whatched a movie! We had to dress up in pyjamas and onesies! It was a very FUN DAY!!!!!!!!

My favourite thing to do is to build Lego!

I like building Lego because,you have to use your brain to find out how to build the thing you are building.It sometimes is hard but you will get the hang of it once you have done a bit.Lego can be big or small it could be a building or just a little house!People have built LifeSize Lego which is pretty amazing!Here are photos of life size Lego buildings!

How to kayak at green pastures camp procedure

How to kayak at green pastures!

This piece of writing will explain the basics of kayaking!

You will need:

A kayak

A paddle

A lake or stream/river

Your togs(just in case you fall out!

A life jacket

1.Fristly,drag your kayak down to the water.Then put it in the water(make shore that your launching area is shallow).Now grab your paddle.Now Get in the water, then get into the kayak.Now with your paddle push it away from land!Now you can get all comfy!

2.With your paddle,put on side in the water then the other!if you want to go fast you paddle quick!To turn you just,keep paddling but only put one side in the water and repeat!Repeat paddling!

3.Now you have completed my steps!HAVE FUN KAYAKING!!!!!!!!!
